Officer Schneider receives Meritorious Award

Earlier this week a Shenango Township PD Officer in the area of Bedford Road, on routine patrol, discovered a fully involved house and vehicle on fire. After requesting the fire department, the Officer assisted an occupant of the house through the bedroom window.  Station 79 responded to the scene with 14 members. The fire was extinguished with heavy damage. No injuries were reported. At the Supervisors meeting on Thursday, Chief Newton presented Officer Schneider with a Meritorious Award for his life saving response.
