Do not allow anyone into your home.  If someone claiming to be a data collector insists of entering, tell them to wait outside and call the Police at 911.  Report that you believe an impersonator for the County Assessment is at your door and have Police come check it out.

There have been reports of individuals trying to make entry into homes posing as data collectors.  When in doubt call 911!
